The Prachanda-led government of Nepal has come under fire for discussing Constitution amendment with India instead of engaging stakeholders in Nepal. At Sunday’s meeting of the Parliament, the main opposition CPN-UML criticised the government for talking about the Charter amendment with India. UML lawmakers criticised the government for handing over a letter to India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a promise to amend Nepal’s Charter.
