The usage status of new compensation and offices prescribed by the Working Journalists Act (WJA) is not agreeable as working columnists are found to have not gave advantages and offices settled by the WJA in lion’s share of the media houses.
A social affair of office-bearers of capital-based area and partner groups of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) held here Monday inferred that all media house have disregarded the implementation of the WJA that came into power from the earliest starting point of the current financial year.
The social event finished with a choice of asking for all media house in composing to quickly implement the Act, the FNJ General Secretary Ujir Magar said in a press proclamation. Additionally, the social occasion consented to shape a checking board of trustees to screen the status of WJA authorization and attempt aggregate endeavors to address issues confronting its implementation.
